This is very nice and layering the sky and darkening was a good idea. Beautiful shot.

Thanks ever so much for the tip (yes I could follow your mini tutorial) on how to create even borders in PS. No more guess work with the marquee tool.

i love this...the horse closest to the gate reminds me of my favourite horse at the barn i ride at the sky is incredible...and just the whole image overall has a magical quality
